Home Video by Lucy Dacus
Delaney Hardekopf

Following her 2018 LP Historian, Lucy Dacus reflects on her youth with compassion in the adolescent time capsule that is Home Video. Navigating past events like old flames, intense heartbreak, and absent parents through vulnerable songwriting, Dacus draws us into the pulsing emotions of nostalgia from a lens of maturity.

Favorite track: “Brando,” my personal favorite of the album, takes these specific memories and shapes them into sentiments of teenage identity.

Sour By Olivia Rodrigo
Haley Milnes

After an unbelievable response to her debut single “Driver’s License,” Olivia Rodrigo released her first ever album titled Sour on May 21, 2021. The album without a doubt served as a principle in every music-related award show of the year. It takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions that I never thought I’d be able to feel. With her ventures into pop-rock and balladry, she has an extremely bright future ahead of her as a growing artist.

Favorite track: “Brutal,” the first track, introduces and prepares you for the album as a whole.

Del Water Gap by Del Water Gap
Sanna Apolskis

After years of singles and EPs, Del Water Gap released his first full-length album. This album covers heartache in a beautifully upbeat and lively way.

Favorite track: "Distance," because hearing it live for the first time evoked a sense of longing in a heavenly way.

Once Twice Melody
by Beach House
Izzy Lopez

Izzy made this drawing based off of the feeling she got listening to Beach House's newest album -- very flowy and whimsical.

Favorite Track: "Superstar"
